Judy recently commissioned me to recover the cushion pictured below.
This cover was looking a little sad and she wanted to change the fabric to match the recent design and color changes she'd made in her room.
I took this shot to show how the cushion looked when it was completed. Then I called my husband to come and see my work. He sweetly pointed out to me that the curved part was probably the back of the cushion (DUH!) and that I put the velcro on the straight (i.e. FRONT) part of the cushion.
A quick call to Judy confirmed that I am in fact a moron and I had sewn the cushion incorrectly. The good news was that the pieces were all sized correctly so I just needed to rip up the seams, re-position the side piece, and re-sew the top and bottom pieces to the side. The bad news was that I had to rip up the seams, re-position the side piece, and re-sew the top and bottom pieces to the side piece.
Now, did I take another shot of my completed work? No I did not. In case you didn't read above, I am a moron.

I too thought it looked normal in the first two pictures. Good thing for husbands.
Good for you for fixing it right away...I would have probably set it aside for a year or until the dejectedness wore off.
I'm glad you count that as one of your NYR's.
It looks great! Sorry you ended up having to reverse it. That doesn't make you a moron. That makes you a VERY NICE friend who is willing to not only do a project ONCE for my Mom, but TWICE! What a wonderful girl you are!
We love you!
