Because she has a subscription herself, my sister was offered an additional free subscription to Martha Stewart's Living. She gave it to me(!) and I have been surprised at how many easy and practical ideas I've gotten from this in the past 3 months!
For example, they suggested using a knife rack as an easy place to store items that you use frequently. Genius! In my crafting closet, I need to have my scissors, measuring tape, and a few other items at the ready.

I can't tell you how nice it is to have these guys within reach at all times. Thank you Martha and thank you Sarah!
And yes, I cleaned up my sewing area just for this picture. It's been a mess as I've been putting it to good use with all the baby/kid gifts I've been making. And I may have a few new tricks up my sleeve. Stay tuned.

Ahhh, Martha. I do feel a ray of organized good sunshine beam out of the mailbox every month MSL arrives... =)
I've been meaning to ask you about the baby girl shirt you made...we should get together soon.
